Should I buy a 2007 Saab 9-3 Aero w/20K miles?
I am looking at purchasing a used 2007 Saab 9-3 Aero with 20,000 miles. It comes loaded, but I am little leery of Saab’s in general. I have never owned a Saab before. It comes with the 4/50K miles warranty, but I have heard that Saab’s have lots of issues and they are constantly in and out of the dealership. Also, I am worried that Saab might not be around in a few years. How is the navigation, audio, etc. in these cars?
Any advice from current and past owners would be helpful, but any advice in general would be much appreciated.
A 2007 Saab 9-3 Aero is a pretty good car. I currently own an ‘08, 2.0T manual and have to say they are a blast to drive. I bought it brand new and haven’t had a problem since. I was pretty much in your shoes prior to purchasing my car. I came from driving an Accord that was as reliable as can be. I did my research and thus far everything seems to have held true. The newer Saabs have really improved upon their reliability issues from when they first came out in 2003. They no longer depend on mechanics and are as reliable as any other car. The most important thing you can do when purchasing your used Saab is to get a warranty with it. Otherwise, you’re getting a solid car that gets enough power from its turbo, is as safe as can be, as practical as can be and quite unique as well. You definitely won’t be a dime a dozen like every other car out there! Good luck!
